Lyn RobertsVice President of Special Mission Sales & Business Development
Mr. Roberts represents the company to senior military decision makers and customers as well as industry clients and partners in the United States. Besides serving as a principal customer interface, he will identify growth initiatives, assist in developing and implementing capture strategies, and assist with growing our capabilities.
Prior to joining Greenwood, Mr. Roberts spent over 20 years as director of special mission sales and business development at Textron Aviation and its predecessor companies. Lyn also directed all aspects of New Programs at Raytheon Aircraft where he was responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the technical, schedule and cost aspects of programs such as the T-1A Jayhawk trainer and Premier I light jet development.
Throughout his distinguished aviation career spanning over four decades, Lyn has been personally involved in the sale and delivery of over 500 commercial derivative aircraft to U.S. Government customers generating total revenues in excess of $2 billion. He has held senior leadership positions with Beech Aircraft, Raytheon Aircraft, Hawker Beechcraft and Textron Aviation including roles in Contracts, Program Management, Government Marketing and Business Development for numerous special mission aircraft, target missile and training aircraft programs.
Mr. Roberts is a graduate of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University with degrees in Accounting and Finance. He has completed the Raytheon Advanced Management Program as well as various American Graduate University courses regarding government business and contracting. He has served as a United Way Campaign Chairman, Political Action Committee board member and been an invited speaker at numerous events on integrated product development, strategic planning, and team dynamics.
